Ms.Conti has set an set an assignment for her Third Year art students but we are encouraging everyone to get involved if you love a challenge.
The challenge called #21portraits21days. This challenge is being run by artist and friend of A7 Karen Hickey. The challenge is to make a portrait every day for 21 days. Each portrait is inspired by a different artist. Follow Karen on Instagram here.
Find out more on Ms.Conti's dedicated page here.
Today's reference portrait is from Van Gogh. This challenge is a great way to learn art history and discover new artists and art styles. We are posting videos about each artist as the challenge continues.

In January we usually make resolutions and this challenge is a great way to explore how to form new daily habits. You could even apply what you learn to develop other habits you would like to sustain.... read more, exercise more, cook more healthy food, study more etc.
And don't forget The Third Wave art challenge! Maybe one drawing a week is a starting point for a new art habit? Or if 21 Portraits sounds like too much set your own goal- 7 Portraits in 21 Days?
To get yourself into the habit of drawing everyday get some advice from the gang at Love Life Drawing. They have lots of content on their youtube channel and they also do a drawing challenge in February called #Figuary
Today's artist is Vincent Van Gogh. Learn more about him from the Van Gogh Museum.
