Trails Skills with the L.A.B Project and Biking.ie
Students from 1R/1M and 3A/3B enjoyed the winter sunshine in Ticknock with Myles and Clive from the L.A.B Project (Crosscare Youth Services/Garda Diversion Programme) on Thursday.
Max and Doc Rothar from Biking.ie were our instructors for the day and we enjoyed learning trail skills and we had the odd spill!
Jasper saved his jellies from total mountain bike annihilation on the pump track, Tyler had to call a lawyer for the double he cased and TJ gave in on the battle to the top of the climb against Mr. Doran because it was too sunny!
The banter was good ..... we stopped after every trail to reflect on how we railed the berms and tried to find our flow ... especially on the Skyline trail back to the cabin.
Thanks Max and Doc Rothar for encouraging the group and keeping us all safe and stoked for more mountain biking adventures!
A Big Thank You to Myles and Clive for all their work with the groups this term and for organising this fun activity.
We haven't had fun since the beginning of COVID-19! It was great to be back out in the fresh air and actually see faces in a safe outdoor activity!
