Wooden Pencil Holder Project
A First Year group of students have just completed their most recent project -a fleet of wooden pencil holders.
The first job was to measure and mark out three individual pieces of timber. Then each piece had to be cut out and sanded very carefully. When this was completed, the next job was to drill the individual holes for the pencils. After applying glue to the pieces, the class had to leave them to stick together.
Then some of the class used the wood burner to burn designs onto the timber. The final job was to apply a few coats of varnish.
