St. Laurence College and Cabinteely Community School teamed up today for a S.C.P mountain biking trip to the Ballinastoe Trail Centre in the Wicklow Mountains.
'Double Trouble' is actually the name of one of the trails we shredded today. The 'team up' was a success yet again. This is our second mid-term mountain biking trip this year and the lads really bonded again on the trails and encouarged each other as we learned how to attack the roots, rocks, berms and short steep climbs.
Mr. Doran represented S.L.C in the sprint up to the 'Homeward Bound' trail with just a wheel length ahead of Cabinteely's star second year sprinter.
We had 'real' mountain bikers out today. The wind and rain didn't deter the group and we enjoyed what proved to be a bit of a mudfest. Muddy trails are more fun and Tadgh in First Year designed an innovative 'black sac track suit' (no pun intended!) before the lads headed for the bus back to Ballybrack.
