So what did you think of our new film? We hope you like it! Would you like more 'Behind the Scenes' stories?
Well, two of our Sixth Year students had a unique opportunity on our Open 'In' Night to rewind the years in A4 as they posed for photographs with Dermot Byrne and Ms. Moore.
Both Jamie and Liam enjoyed a number of literacy projects when they were in First Year. They loved reading 'Action Jackson' so much they turned A4 into a Jackson Pollock art studio for a day. We even had the ladder which Jackson Pollock would climb up on and view his art before throwing and dripping more paint on his masterpieces. They produced a masterpiece of their own. It still hangs pride of place in A4.
They delved into the world of Second World War boxer, Harry Haft, but they had the most fun in a 'box'.
Bro. Fred, Bro Gerry and Alan Kelly helped the lads to build this box after they read 'Henry's Freedom Box.'
This true story is about a slave who escapes slavery by getting a member of the Underground Railroad to post him in a wooden box to Philadephia.
Jamie and Liam even visited St. John's National School as a part of a story telling initiative and you guessed it everyone had fun getting in the box.
Well would you believe it-they still fit in the box?
With COVID 19 headlines filling our screens it's nice to read a 'feel good' behind the scenes story like this.
Rewind and the enjoy the photos!
