Ms. Mulholland's Sixth Year Geography students prayed to the saints of the valley for sunshine for their Leaving Certificate field trip.
The grouped visted the Glendasan Valley in Glendalough to explore the ebb and flow of the river winding it's way down this ancient valley.
Equipped with clip boards and hand sanitser the groups collected a range of data about the physical action of the river changing the lanscape as it powers through the valley.
Ms. Mulholland even found a whirlpool. It was whirlly fun to track the mechanical power of the river carving banks and bends.
Sam had a welly good time in the last activity of the morning as the group explore the depth of the upper river. I'm not sure if measuring how much water fills a welly boot is on the Leaving Certificate but memories are made of this!
Enjoy the photos from the trip!
A big thank you to St. Kevin and the saints of the valley for the late September sunshine!
