Dear Parents/Guardians,
The end of the school year is here. On behalf of all our staff, thank you for your continued support and understanding in what has been a challenging year for us all. Whilst there are many elements of the next academic year still unknown as a result of Covid-19, I can assure you that we will continue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our school community. We are busy planning for next year and I will communicate any significant changes to you well in
advance.
Book return
Please return all school books to Miss Tuke. Each student has received a checklist which will help in returning all books. The cost to the school for unreturned books would be significant and we do not have funds available to make up this shortcoming. We are here all June so any remaining books can be returned. Please phone reception to arrange a book return.
Vs Ware & School Reports
Our school reports will be issued to you the week of 7th June on Vs Ware only. Please download the app and login in to view. If you need assistance with this please contact our reception. We will be communicating with you more via our Vs Ware system. Please keep an eye on the Mail section for future updates
Voluntary Contribution/Fees
For those wishing to make payments to the school we accept bank transfer and cheque. We are launching a new online payment system - EasyPayments Plus. You will see the button on our school website. From June this will be the preferred method of payment to the school. Please contact us if you have any questions. I will send you a guide on EasyPayments in the next few weeks. We appreciate your support and each contribution allows us to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.
6th Years
We wish each of our students the very best of luck in the State Examinations. This final hurdle is one they will overcome with aplomb. Our exams start June 9th.
Staffing Update
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind messages on appointment as permanent Principal of St Laurence College. It is a great privilege and I relish what we will achieve together. Ms Monica English departs us for NWESS in Wicklow and we wish her all the best in her new role. Ms English has contributed to our school significantly and our AS Class will not be the same without her. We welcome Ms Chloe Murphy to our school who has taken up the role of financial and administrative secretary. Chloe joins us with a wealth of experience and we are looking forward to working with her for years to come. We will see some more changes to our staff in the coming months. I wish to assure you that we will only hire the best candidates for each vacancy.
