All Ireland Champions 2019

History for St Laurence College as the girls captured their first ever Senior Girls National Title. They defeated Mulroy College from Donegal in the final. A goal by 2nd year student Chloe Mathews was enough to rewrite the History Books. It was a particularly magnificent achievement for: Courtney Maguire, Lana Doyle, Bobbi Downer, Maya Stubbs, Molly Murphy, Suranne Williams, Jessie Morrissey, Zoe Kelly and Kim Pel who won their 2nd All Ireland medal in two years.

In a tight game the girls showed their class throughout to dominate the game in what was a professional performance. Zoe Kelly provided the assist for the goal that Chloe Mathews finished clinically. 9 of the starting 11 are under age next year so start preparing girls.

A special mention must go to Rebecca Prenter, Ava Gibson Doyle, Lily Murphy and Chloe Mathews who are all in 2nd year and played pivotal roles in securing the title.
