For All Second Year Students (ONLY)
The World of Work Programme is a simply designed programme aimed at giving students an insight into the workplace and some of the careers being pursued in Ireland today. Aviva are partnered with our school to provide support and deliver this programme to selected students in 2nd Year.
Based on 5 sessions over the course of an academic year, the World of Work Programme gives students an insight into the workplace and ideas about careers they may not have previously considered. Aviva employees will give informal talks to the students about their jobs, their career path and the life choices that they took along the way and there will be soft skills sessions on presentation and communication skills. The students will be connecting with these sessions as a group in their classroom through online school-approved and monitored IT platforms. While the students are in lockdown and working from home, the students will access the sessions online in the same way as they access school classes (without camera switched on).
All sessions take place during school hours and there is no cost to the students to participate.
This programme will commence in February 2021.
