Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the St. Laurence College website. I hope you enjoying browsing our site.

St. Laurence College is Marianist school under the Le Chéile trust. The Marianists are an international religious order of brothers and priests who came to Ireland in 1967 from the United States. Marianists are followers of Mary. They view Mary as the model of discipleship. Just as Mary gave birth to Jesus, Marianists seek to bring the presence of Jesus to life within themselves and others. You can learn more about the Marianists in our section ‘About the Marianists’ or by visiting

The School’s mission statement states that we strive to meet the needs of the whole school community so that the growth and development of each individual is realized. Further, we seek this through the creation of a Marianist family atmosphere in which parents & guardians, staff & students work for the spiritual, intellectual, moral, physical and emotional growth of all.

The school boasts a talented and dedicated staff who recognise that education not only involves academic achievement, but rather it should encompass a more holistic development of students. We want students to recognise their talents and to grow with a real sense of their own self-worth. We pride ourselves on the pastoral care provided to students. Our goal is to make school a positive experience in which students enjoy the community spirit that is central to our ethos.

I hope you find our website both interesting and insightful. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through our school office.

A two week end of term assessment exam period begins on Monday 16th of November.
It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas! Well it is in Transition Year this week when they took part in a 'Crazy Glazing' pottery workshop.
Ms. McBride can't be with us right now but she has sent us this special message. In November we remember all our loved ones who have passed away and we continue this tradition this year with our Remembrance Tree.
