On Friday the Transition Year Business class organised a showcase day to highlight the work they had undertaken since the return to school in September. The showcase was a student lead idea so they could inform all students teachers and staff of the practical business ideas they have put together. The goal of the mini company module is to combine business curriculum content with a hands on approach to setting up a business and give the students an experience of the effort required to be successful, the potential problems that need to be solved and confidence and belief in their abilities and talents. In total we have 8 mini company business’ in this term and they will continue to use business marketing strategies to promote their products and increase sales between now and the Christmas break. Overall it was a huge success for all students as the feedback from was extremely positive on a well organised professional day. This has motivated the class to work even harder for the remaining weeks of the module.
The students of 4A deserve huge credit as the success of event was due to their hard work persistence creativity and teamwork. No doubt we have some successful entrepreneurs and in this cohort of students. Dragons Den Watch Out!
