- Cloth face coverings act as a barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from travelling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the face covering coughs, sneezes, talks or raises their voice.
- Teachers, staff and students attending post primary schools must wear a face mask when a physical distance of 2m from other staff or students cannot be maintained.
- Face masks do not have to be worn by anyone who is medically advised not to. Proof of this advice must be given to school.
- We remind you not to not touch the face mask and to wash or sanitise hands (using hand sanitiser) before putting on and after taking off the face covering.
- Information should be provided on the proper use, removal, and washing of cloth face coverings.

- Cloth face coverings should be washed after every day of use
- Wearing a face covering or mask does not overrule the need to stay at home if displaying symptoms of Covid-19.
Covid-19 Pack
Students must provide their own Covid-19 pack in school each day.
It should include a clear ziplock bag with the student's name: 2 x reusable face masks and 1 pack x antibacterial wipes and 1 x small bottle of hand sanitiser.
These items cannot be shared with any other student under any circumstances.
Any student who arrives to school and does not wear a face mask when under 2 metres distance will be sent home and must be collected by a Parent/Guardian immediately.
The only exception is a student who has a medical clearance not to wear a face mask.
